Imagine moving in a 40-foot dragon boat, experiencing the Schuylkill River while simultaneously witnessing breathtaking dance, music and sculpture installations on the river’s shores, waters and air space. Celebrate the wonder and beauty of the Schuylkill River, one of Philadelphia’s most prized natural resources. This is INVISIBLE RIVER 2014. You are part of a flotilla, a community of boats, traveling together and connected in this moment. In the distance, dancing bodies emerge from the shores of the river and soar from the bridge overhead. The music of the Oubliette Trio narrates and punctuates the flotilla's journey with Neo-Medieval sound and music, transporting you to a world that lies just beyond our waking reality.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST ARRIVE BY 6:15PM ON THE EVENT DAY FOR A SAFETY BRIEFING & LESSON - ANY PERSONS ARRIVING AFTER 6:25PM WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN A BOAT.

EVENT DIRECTIONS:
There is limited parking, so we highly encourage you to use alternative transportation to get to the event: bike, walk, public transit.
BIKING -- Onsite bike racks and bike valet parking will be available at the event. Please use the Circuit Map to plan your trip to the event. http://connectthecircuit.org/-- (use left hand tool bar and go down below "Browse" to "Plan a Trip")
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION -- Take the #15 Trolley (the Girard Avenue Trolley or Bus) to Girard Avenue and 34th Street. Exit the train and head north on N 34th St/Lansdowne Dr (right turn from Girard Ave if coming from the East and left turn if coming from the West) going into the park. Walk along this road as it curves and heads into the park it will become Lansdowne Drive. At the first stop sign you come to make a right onto Sweet Briar Lane. Walk approximately 200 ft till you come to the traffic light. Cross the light and make a left heading north on the Martin Luther King Jr Drive . Walk approximately 2/5 of a mile till you get to a bend in the road where you will see a parking lot and Green Boat House.

DIRECTIONS to Green Boathouse/Adaptive Rowing Center, 1233 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Philadelphia, PA 19131:
Take I-76 W/Schuylkill Expressway to Exit 341/Montgomery Drive towards West River Drive. After exiting go to the traffic light and make a right onto Montgomery Drive. Make a right onto Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and drive past Black Road. Continue along the road and you will see a parking lot on the left hand side of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive with a Green Boat House at the far left side. Please park here. Staff from INVISIBLE RIVER will direct you to the docks.
